RANKING THE PAC-10 - For the first time this season, the Pac-10 has six teams ranked in the AVCA/USA Today Top-25: USC, Stanford, Arizona, UCLA, Washington State and Arizona State. The Conference has now had a team at the No. 1 ranking in both major polls for the fifth straight week.

ARIZONA STATE - ASU upset rival Arizona, 3-1, snapping a five game losing streak to the 'Cats, and posting their first win at home vs. Arizona since 1996 ... Junior Juliana Escobar (4.66 kpg/3.12 dpg) now has six double-doubles in eight matches this season, recording 20 kills in all six of those matches ... The Devils are now 3-1 versus ranked opponents this season ... The win over the Wildcats marked ASU's 500th career victory (500-348) during its 30th season.

ARIZONA - Freshman Kim Glass led the Wildcats with 15 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 loss to instate rival Arizona State ... Fellow freshman Bre Ladd joined Glass in double-digits with ten kills and a team high four block assists ... Senior setter Laurie Gardner posted a double-double of her own, dishing out 42 assists and grabbing 10 digs against the Devils.

CALIFORNIA - The Bears are 11-1 this season after only winning 10 matches (10-18) the entire season in 2001 ... This weekend was the first time Cal has swept Oregon and Oregon State on the road since the 1999 season ... Cal extended their winning streak against the Ducks to seven matches, and snapped a four-match losing streak to OSU ... Junior Mia Jerkov collected 57 kills (5.70 kpg) and 43 digs (4.30 dpg) in a pair of matches versus the Oregon schools ... Against Oregon, Jerkov posted a career-high 32 kills along with 17 digs.

OREGON - Junior Lindsay Murphy tied her career-high with 20 digs in a 3-2 loss to Cal ... In the same match, freshman Dariam Acevedo recorded her second consecutive double-double with 19 kills and 18 digs ... Sophomore Lauren Westendorf put in a career-high 14 kills along with seven digs versus the Bears ... Oregon's 80 kills and 217 attempts against Cal were both season highs for the Ducks.

OREGON STATE - Senior Nikki Neuburger posted a career-high 29 digs in a 3-2 loss to California, which was the top digs performance in the league thus far ... The digs performance was the seventh-best single match dig performance in Beaver school history ... Sophomore Allison Lawrence put down a career-high 26 kills against the Golden Bears, the most by a Beaver this year ... Senior Katrina Nelson has performed well in league play this year, she leads the squad with 44 kills (3.14 kpg) in conference matches and is hitting a team-high .368 against league foes.

STANFORD - After hitting for .418 in the wins over the Oregon schools, the Cardinal have hit .333 or better in each of its last six matches. Stanford is hitting .386 in Conference play ... The nine points by Oregon in the Cardinal's 30-9 game two win is the lowest point total by a Stanford opponent since rally scoring was introduced last year (previous low was 11 by Washington) ... The Cardinal have won 26 consecutive home matches ... Senior outside hitter Logan Tom has 1,505 career kills - 28th on the Pac-10's career list.

UCLA - Sophomore outside hitter Brittany Ringel led the Bruins with 29 kills in their sweep of the Washington schools last weekend. USC - The Trojans are the only remaining undefeated Pac-10 team ... Against the Huskies she hit .333 with 11 kills off of 21 attacks. She averaged a team-leading 4.0 kills and 4.5 points per game in the two wins. Not bad for a non-starter ... Washington's .231 attack percentage against the Women of Troy on Saturday is the highest for a USC opponent this season ... WASHINGTON STATE - Senior LaToya Harris needs only 14 digs to become just the third Cougar in school history to reach both 1,000 kills and digs in a career. Harris will join Keren Oigman (1,054 kills, 1,070 digs) and Shannon Wyckoff (1,051 kills, 1,254 digs), who both played for Cougar coach Cindy Fredrick from 1994-97 ... Harris is currently fourth in career kills (1238) and aces (120) and sixth in digs (986) ... Though this is the first season for the Libero position, WSU senior Kortney Jamtaas steadily worked her way up the WSU all-time career digs list. In between her busy nights Sept. 27 and 28, Jamtaas participated in a charity walk with her family in Pacific Palisades, Calif., which was dedicated to her cousin, Kirsten Gould, who passed away at the age of 14 last March of a rare cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma...the 4 Paws for a Cure, A Nationwide Dogwalk to Conquer Kid's Cancer, took place the morning of Sept. 28, in Philadelphia, New York, and Portland in addition to the LA location...Gould, from Seattle, attended several Cougar volleyball matches and the team visited her during her illness.
