UCLA's Pierce Named Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- UCLA senior forward Tim Pierce has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 24-30, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Pierce, from Dana Point, Calif., recorded his first career hat trick and added an assist in UCLA's 7-0 shutout of San Diego State Sept. 29. Pierce scored his first goal just 16 seconds into the match, the fastest goal ever by a UCLA player and the fifth-fastest goal in NCAA Division I history. He had a hand in the first four goals of the contest, scoring the first, third and fourth goals and assisting on the second.
This is the third weekly honor for Pierce and the 10th all-time Player of the Week honor for UCLA.
