Wildcats Open Play at Riviera All-American Sunday

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Arizona women's tennis team traveled to the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., Sunday to compete in the Riviera All-American Championships, which runs until Oct. 13. Sophomore Marie-Pier Pouliot competed in the pre-qualifying singles bracket, and sophomore Dianne Hollands teamed up with Pouliot to compete in the pre-qualifying doubles bracket.

Pouliot fell to Urska Juric of Missouri in the first round of pre-qualifying singles play, 6-2, 6-2.

The Wildcat duo of Pouliot and Hollands was defeated in the first round of doubles play by Duke's Katie Granson and Julia Smith, 8-1.

The Wildcat tennis team will continue play Tuesday, Oct. 8, when Hollands and junior Debbie Larocque compete in the qualifying singles bracket.
