Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of Week

USC senior forward Ali Fennell has been named Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 1-7, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Fennell, from Santa Ana, Calif., scored the game-winner in a 1-0 upset of No. 8 Santa Clara Oct. 6. She also scored on a penalty kick in a 2-2 tie against Loyola Marymount Oct. 4. With four points on the weekend, Fennell moved into a tie for fifth place on USC's all-time scoring list with 49 points. She has notched five goals in her last seven games to lead the team in goals (5) and points (10).

The Trojans (5-3-3 overall, 0-0-0 Pac-10), ranked 15th in this week's Soccer America poll, open Pac-10 play Friday and Sunday, hosting No. 2 Stanford and No. 5/No. 7 California, respectively.

This is the third Pac-10 Player of the Week honor for Fennell and USC's 14th such honor all-time.
