Rowton Takes Sixth Overall At Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

Tacoma, Wash. - The Stanford women's golf team fired the second lowest score on the final day of competition (294) to move up two spots and finish fifth overall at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Tacoma, Wash. Rounding out the top five were Southern California (885), Washington (900), Pepperdine (901), California (903) and Stanford (905).

Three Cardinal golfers placed in the top 20 individually.

Senior Kim Rowton carded a three-round total of 221 (76-71-74) to finish sixth on the leaderboard. Freshman Kelly Husted posted her best finish on the young season as she tied for 13th with a 225 (76-77-72). Junior Angela Rho placed 18th after carding a 227 (76-78-73) for the tournament. Sophomore Wendra Liang tied for 29th with a 233 (79-78-76) while teammate Kim Kouwabunpat finished 42nd at 237 (82-79-75).

USC's Mikaela Parmlid took top honors individually after winning the playoff with Pepperdine's Lindsey Wright. Both golfers shot a five-under par 214 for the tourney.
