Women's Cross Country Finishes Sixth At UC San Diego Invitational

San Diego, Calif. - Junior Brooke Thomas took eighth place to lead the USC women's cross country team to a sixth-place showing at the 6K UC San Diego Triton Classic.

The Women of Troy scored 205 points. UCLA was first with 82, followed by UC Irvine (112), Nevada (145), Hawaii (150) and UC San Diego (194).

In the individual standings, junior Brooke Thomas led USC with an eighth-place finish with a time of 22.23.2. Sophomore Danielle Morrell was 26th (23:14.3) and Kate Pinta was 45th (23:44.2).

Victoria Chang of Hawaii was first (21:46.7).

The Women of Troy are next in action at the Long Beach State 49er Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 19).
