Ducks 12th at Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - Oregon was tied for 12th place with Washington State after shooting a 319 in the first round of the Stanford Pepsi Invitational, played Friday at the 5,903-yard, par-72 Stanford Golf Course.

Freshman Therese Wenslow led Oregon by tying for 30th at 5-over 77. Sophomore Johnna Nealy was tied for 36th at 6-over 78, while freshman Erin Andrews was tied for 43rd at 7-over 79.

UCLA led the team chase at 293, followed by Washington at 295, California at 296 and Vanderbilt at 302.

The tournament continues through the weekend, with the second round scheduled to get underway at 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
