Oct. 30, 2002

EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon men's and women's basketball teams will conduct a pair of intrasquad scrimmages Friday at McArthur Court. The women will scrimmage at 4:30 p.m., while the men will start at 7 p.m.

Both scrimmages are free and open to the public and both are expected to last for approximately one hour.

The Duck basketball teams will also be part of the pre-game festivities leading up to Saturday's football game versus Stanford. The teams will put on an exhibition on a temporary basketball court set up inside the Moshofsky Center.

Bev Smith's defending NIT champion women's team will begin the exhibition at 9:45 a.m., while Ernie Kent's defending Pac-10 champion men's team will take the court at 10:20 a.m. Both teams' exhibition will last for 30 minutes. Saturday's event is also free, but a ticket to the Oregon-Stanford football game is required for admittance to the Moshofsky Center.
