KAPOLEI, Hawaii - Oregon's women's golf team finished 12th Wednesday at the Rainbow Wahine Fall Golf Classic, played at the par-72, 5,900 yard Kapolei Golf Course.
'There were a lot of positives that can be taken away from this tournament,' said head coach Shannon Rouillard. 'Johnna and Therese both had a solid tournament and are becoming players who we can count on.'
Annie Davis had her career best finish at 51st with a 76-80-79-235. Davis joined the team last winter after two seasons on Oregon's track and field team. The senior from Portland has had a positive impact on Oregon's women's golf team.
'Annie's game has come a long way. She's been with us less than a year and it's been especially satisfying to watch her blossom,' said Rouillard.
California held on to the lead, finishing in first place with a team score of 285-296-289-870, 18 strokes ahead of second-place finisher UCLA. Tournament defending champions New Mexico advanced one place from Tuesday to finish fourth, 28 strokes behind California with a 309-297-292-898.
