Tom Tabbed National And Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Week

Walnut Creek, Calif. - Stanford outside hitter Logan Tom has been chosen the AVCA/Sports Imports Division I National Player of the Week as well as the Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Nov. 3-Nov. 9, the AVCA and conference commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Tom, a senior from Salt Lake City, Utah, led No. 4 Stanford to three victories over top 25-ranked teams, including No. 1 Hawaii. She tallied 60 kills (6.67 kills per game) while hitting at a stellar .379 clip for the week. She added 25 digs (2.78 digs per game), four service aces (0.44 per game) and six blocks (0.67 per game) in nine games played. Against No. 16 Arizona, Tom amassed a match-leading 26 kills with seven digs and three blocks, on .400 hitting. Versus No. 23 Arizona State, she led the match with 18 kills, along with nine digs and two blocks while hitting .654 on the night. In the Cardinal's matchup against top-ranked Hawaii, she put down 16 kills, nine digs and one block in an upset victory.
The Cardinal (24-3, 13-2 in Pac-10) swept the Arizona schools, and handed No. 1-ranked Hawaii (3-0) its first loss of the season.
This is the ninth weekly league honor for Tom, Stanford's 47th Pac-10 Player of the Week honor all-time.
Tom passes UCLA's Natalie Williams (eight-time player of the week selection) to become the only player in conference history to receive the honor nine times during her career.
