Nov. 12, 2002
CORVALLIS - One-Eighty, Inc., a Portland based marketing, promotions and special events firm, will be partnering with the Oregon State Athletic Department for the Raising Reser Expanding Beaver Nation project, it was announced Tuesday by OSU Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis.
One-Eighty, Inc., will provide the leadership and organizational skills necessary for the strategic marketing and sales initiative in this project.
Tony Pulicella, a graduate of Oregon State University, is President of One-Eighty, Inc. His firm helped develop media material for Ken Simonton's Heisman Trophy campaign during the 2001 football season.
'Our prior relationship with One-Eighty, Inc., and Tony specifically, was very positive,' said De Carolis. 'He brings a tremendous level of creativity and enthusiasm to everything he does. We look forward to working together with him on this initiative.'
The emphasis for One-Eighty, Inc., will be on the Portland-area market, but Tony's group will also lend support to the other regional directors for the Raising Reser project around the state.
'It is a great honor to be selected to represent Oregon State in this historic effort to expand Reser Stadium and the Beaver Nation,' said Pulicella.
Elements of the media material developed by One-Eighty, Inc., for the Simonton campaign included a Heisman logo, a CD-ROM presentation, the business systems used by the OSU Athletic Department, and the official Website for the Heisman campaign.
One-Eighty was recently selected as the winner in the Communicator Awards 2002 print media competition for that material. One-Eighty received a Crystal Award of excellence for the press materials as well as a special Award of Distinction for the CD-ROM portion of the kit. One-Eighty also was the recipient of a Vision Award for the CD-ROM and press kit.
