Nov. 26, 2002

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State University senior LaToya Harris (Portland, Ore.) was named to the 2002 All-Pac-10 Women's Volleyball Team for the third consecutive year, Pacific-10 Conference Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Tuesday from Walnut Creek, Calif.

The other four Cougar senior starters - Adrian Hankoff (South Lake Tahoe, Calif.), Holly Harris (Sandy, Utah), Kortney Jamtaas (Orinda, Calif.) and Chelsie Schafer (Saskatoon, Sask., Canada) - were all named to the honorable mention team. This was the second time Hankoff and Schafer were selected for the honorable mention team. In addition, WSU's freshman setter, Brenn Larson, was selected to the six-player Pac-10 All-Freshman First Team.

Last week Hankoff, Harris, Jamtaas and Schafer were accorded Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention honors.

LaToya Harris joins 19 other players who have been three-time all-conference selections, including former Cougar Sarah Silvernail. Eight players have been four-time selections, including this year's Conference Player of the Year, Stanford outside hitter Logan Tom. Arizona's Kim Glass was named Freshman of the Year. Washington's coach Jim McLaughlin, in his second year at the Seattle school, was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Huskies to their best record since 1997.
