Manning, Fikse, Saffer and Seidman Named First-Team All-Pac-10

Dec. 2, 2002

Cornerback Ricky Manning, Jr., punter Nate Fikse, offensive tackle Mike Saffer and tight end Mike Seidman have been named first-team All-Pacific-10 Conference by vote of the league's coaches.

In all, 14 Bruins received first or second team acclaim or were honorable mention selections.

This marks Manning's third consecutive first-team selection in the secondary. He is only the seventh Bruin since 1964 to earn first-team acclaim three times. Fikse was named the league's top punter for the second straight year while Saffer was a second-team choice in 2001.

Five Bruins were selected All-Pac-10 second-team -- true freshman tailback Tyler Ebell, offensive tackle Bryce Bohlander, offensive guard Eyoseph Efseaff, defensive end Dave Ball and linebacker Marcus Reese.

Five Bruins earned honorable mention - wide receivers Craig Bragg and Tab Perry, linebacker Brandon Chillar, defensive tackle Steve Morgan and offensive guard Steven Vieira.
