WHAT'S ON TAP . . . Unbeatens Oregon and Portland meet Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 p.m. at McArthur Court (9,087) for the first time since the Pilots' stunning 79-78 upset last season at the Chiles Center.

DUCKS ATTAIN HIGHEST MARK IN POLLS . . . This week's No. 7 ranking in the Associated Press poll is the highest ever for Oregon, surpassing the previous high of No. 8, which happened during two consecutive weeks in January, 1975 -- Ernie Kent's sophomore season. Last year's high AP poll ranking was No. 9, which came last March after the Ducks defeated USC and UCLA on the road to win their first outright conference championship since 1939. In the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll, the Ducks are No. 6, which is an all-time high for the regular season, and matches last year's postseason rank of sixth (tie).
