Washington's Momentum Continues through Final Day of Husky Invitational

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - The 25th ranked University of Washington's men's and women's swimming teams capped off the final day of competition at the 54th Annual Husky Invitational at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in winning style.
The University of Washington men's 'A'400 freestyle relay team took home first place with a season high time of 3:03.67. The University of Washington women's 'A' 400 freestyle relay team placed second with a season best time of 3:25.85.
Washington junior Derek Rose finished first in the 100 freestyle, improving his season high time to 45.15. Junior Luke Ekhoff came in first in the 200 breaststroke, improving his season high time by four seconds to 1:57.86. Senior Kim Harada finished second in the 100 freestyle with a season high time of 49.64.
The swimming team is back in action on Friday, Jan. 3, 2003 when they travel to Boca Raton, Florida for the New Year's Invitational. The meet begins at 6:30 a.m. Pacific Time.
