Junior guard Luke Jackson (Creswell, Ore.) was named Pac-10 Player of the Week for his efforts in leading Oregon to a pair of victories last week.

Jackson averaged 25.0 points on 17-of-29 (.586) shooting, 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He scored 21 points and tied a career-high with 12 rebounds in the win over Portland, then tallied 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the victory over No. 14 Kansas.

It's the first honor for Jackson and 23rd all-time for the Ducks.

Notes from Around the Pac-10

ARIZONA - Arizona has outshot all four opponents in 2002-03 and are 23-1 over the last two seasons when accomplishing the feat ... Senior forward Rick Anderson notched Arizona's first double-double of the season with a 17-point, 10-rebound effort at San Diego State. It was Anderson's seventh career double-double. Current UA players have amassed 26 career double-doubles, led by senior forward Luke Walton's 12 ... Through four games, UA opponents are averaging 22.0 turnovers per game, 7.5 more per game than the Wildcats. The Arizona press also continues to accomplish its goal of generating more possessions, which has helped the club average 97.0 points per game.

ARIZONA STATE - The Sun Devils have just one game scheduled (Dec. 10 vs. Nevada) over the next 12 days ... Freshman forward Ike Diogu has posted double digits in the scoring column in all seven games this season.

CALIFORNIA - Sophomore forward Amit Tamir has 40 rebounds (10.0 rpg) this season. He pulled down all of 85 rebounds in 24 games last season. Tamir has a pair of double-doubles on the season and a career-high 14 rebounds vs. Howard ....

OREGON - The Ducks have won 20 straight at McArthur Court. The school record is 23, set from 1937-39 ... In its win over Kansas, Oregon played before 20,762 fans in Portland's Rose Garden - the largest crowd ever to watch a basketball game in the state of Oregon ... Junior guard Luke Ridnour has 321 career assists, ranking fourth on Oregon's all-time list ... Senior forward Robert Johnson is shooting 14-of-18 (.778) from the field this season ... The next Oregon victory will be coach Ernie Kent's 100th victory as coach of the Ducks.

OREGON STATE - Jay John became the first OSU head coach to win his first 'true' road game since Slats Gill in December of 1928 ... OSU has made more free throws (78) than its opponents have attempted (59) ... OSU has been on the plus side of the rebounding margin ledger for the season just twice since 1985, but has a +16.3 margin through four games ... Sixty-nine percent of OSU's field goals have had a credited assist, compared to 51 percent for its opponents ... Senior forward Brian Jackson has scored in double figures in every game this season, he can equal his longest double figures scoring streak of five (3 times) Saturday at Sacramento State. Jackson needs 51 points to reach 1,000 for his career.

STANFORD - The Cardinal have yet to play a game in December. Since last playing in the championship game of the Preseason NIT back on Nov. 29, the Cardinal finally return to action Saturday against Saint Mary's ... They'll make up for missed game action in a hurry as the Cardinal play five games in eight days ... Has allowed the opposition only a .388 shooting percentage, and .279 from three-point territory ... Already 2-1 against teams ranked in the top 25, Stanford was 5-6 against top 25 foes last season. The win over No. 7 Florida was the first win for the Cardinal over a top 10 team since defeating No. 1 Duke 84-83 on Dec. 21, 2000.

UCLA - With 1,672 career points, senior forward Jason Kapono needs 28 points to become the 12th player in UCLA history to reach 1,700 career points ... Sophomore guard Ryan Walcott returned to action for the first time this season and responded with a career-high seven assists and a career-high three steals to go with five points and no turnovers in the win over Long Beach State ... The 23-point margin of victory over Long Beach State was the largest margin of victory for the Bruins since a 93-65 win over Villanova on Jan. 13, 2001.

USC - The Trojans have just two games, both home (Dec. 11 vs. Cal State Fullerton and Dec. 21 vs. La Salle) remaining on the schedule before opening Pac-10 play on the road at Washington State on Jan. 2 ... Junior guard Desmon Farmer has scored in double figures in five consecutive games, matching last year's five-game stretch to end the season ... Junior guard Roydell Smiley also has scored in double digits in all five Trojan contests this season, averaging 12.2 points per game.

WASHINGTON - The Huskies picked up their first win for coach Lorenzo Romar and are now riding a two-game winning streak as they prepare to open a six-game homestand ... In just his second game, two-sport standout Nate Robinson scored 19 points, grabbed six rebounds to go with four assists and two steals in just 18 minutes of action in the win at Santa Clara. Robinson, a cornerback on the Husky football, had two interceptions during the regular season and averaged 17.2 yards on six kick returns ... Sophomore guard Will Conroy scored a career-high 32 points in the overtime loss to Gonzaga. He has scored 82 points this season, averaging 16.4 points per game. He scored 72 points in 29 games last season (2.5 points per game).

WASHINGTON STATE - Junior guard Marcus Moore scored 42 points in the overtime loss to Gonzaga. The scoring output was tied for fourth-best in WSU history and the most points by a Cougar since Brian Quinnett scored 44 against USC on Jan. 29, 1989 ... Moore currently leads the league in scoring at 25.6 points per game. The last WSU to lead the Pac-10 in scoring was Don Collins in 1980 (23.1 points per game) ... Saturday's loss to Gonzaga was only the second in 55 games the Cougars have played in Beasley Coliseum against non-conference opponents over the last 13 seasons...the only other WSU setback since the 1990-91 season was 78-66 to Utah Dec. 11, 1999...Cougar Head Coach Paul Graham is 17-2 against non-conference opponents in Pullman during his four-year tenure.
