Following two tournament to start the wrestling season for the Ducks, Oregon begins its dual meet season with matches against Oregon State and Nebraska. Oregon took third place at the Body Bar Invitational and then took eighth place at the Mat-Town USA Invitational to start the season.

Led by sophomore Shane Webster at 174 and senior Tony Overstake at 149, the Ducks host the Beavers in the first of two meetings this season Friday at 7 p.m. Oregon will continue its homestand with a Saturday meet against Nebraska. The Huskers and Ducks wrestled to a tie last season, but Oregon picked up the win by virtue of a tiebreaker.

Casey Hunt will be the only other senior making an appearance on the mat for the Ducks this weekend. Hunt qualified for the NCAA Championships last season at 149 and has moved down a weight class this season. Eric Webb, still ranked No. 8 by Intermat in the heavyweight division, will sit this weekend's matches out.
