Men's Basketball Faces Biggest Challenge of the Season Sunday

SERIES: Oregon State holds a 2-1 advantage overall. The two schools last played Dec. 3, 1989 in Corvallis with the Beavers posting a 66-48 victory. Then No. 20 (AP)/No. 12 (UPI) OSU edged the Wildcats 56-55 in front of 6,100 Jan. 12, 1985. The only other meeting was the famous Rolando Blackman buzzer beating game winning jumper to defeat top-seeded OSU 50-48 in the NCAA Tournament March 14, 1981at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. Kansas State visits Oregon State next season.
WIN STREAK: Oregon State has won six straight games, the longest win streak since the program had a seven-game streak during the 1992-93 season. The seven-game win streak included victories over top-25 clubs Brigham Young, California, and UCLA.
DECEMBER TO REMEMBER: OSU enters Sunday's game attempting to earn its sixth victory of the month, which would be the program's most since a six-win 12th month during the 1997-98 season.
BIG 12 ACTION: Oregon State's last victory over a Big 12 Conference member was the 1989 victory over Kansas State. The Beavers have lost seven straight to current conference members -- Texas (2002, '97 & '96 seasons), Oklahoma (2001, '94, & '93), and Nebraska (1997).
