Baseball Gets No. 6 Pre-season Ranking From Baseball America

LOS ANGELES -- The USC baseball team is ranked No. 6 in the 2003 Baseball America pre-season poll released today. Baseball America also announced its pre-season All-Americans, placing senior pitcher Anthony Reyes on the third team. USC was ranked No. 3 by Collegiate Baseball in their 2003 pre-season poll in late December.

USC returns six starting position players and 10 pitchers from last year's squad that finished with a 37-24 overall record, reaching the NCAA Super Regional. The Trojans won their second straight Pac-10 Conference title with a 17-7 mark.

Georgia Tech was ranked No. 1 in the pre-season poll followed by Rice, Stanford, Florida State, Texas, USC, Wake Forest, Arizona State, LSU and Baylor.
