UW's Dea Sumantri Upsets No. 1 Seed In Final Round of the Pac-10 Indoor Championships.

Seattle - Washington's Dea Sumantri won the final Flight II Singles round of the Pac-10 Indoor Championships Sunday by upsetting the no. 1 seeded Catherine Lynch of California 7-6 (2), 6-2, The tournament was held at the UW's Nordstrom Tennis Center.

Two Huskies fell today in tournament action. UW's Erin Hoe was defeated in the final round by Niclole Havlicek of California 6-4, 6-3 and UW's Andrea Coulter was defeated in the Semifinals by Bernadette Bayani of USC 6-3, 6-2.

In Doubles Flight 1, All -American Claire Carter and Darija Klaic won their first match of the day in the Semifinals, defeating Jackie Carleton and Laura Gordon of UCLA 9-7. But, the day was not all good for the pair as they were defeated in the finals match by Tiffany Brymer and Jewel Peterson of USC 8-6.
