WSU Wraps Up Dual Meet Season Against Oregon State

WASHINGTON STATE AT OREGON STATE: The Washington State University women's swim team heads to Corvallis to take on Oregon State...the two teams will face off in two dual meets...the first dual meet takes place Friday, January 31 at 7 p.m., with the second meet Saturday, February 1 at 11 a.m...the Beavers have an overall dual meet record of 10-2 (0-2 in Pac-10 competition)...Oregon State last competed Saturday, January 25 and posted a 134-120 victory over Fresno State in a dual meet...the meet against WSU marks the last home meet of the season for OSU which visits Washington next week...WSU has an all-time series record of 26-10 against OSU...the Cougars have a four meet win streak against the Beavers, including two wins in Pullman last season.

'I think it's going to be a challenging meet,' WSU Head Coach Erica Quam said. 'I think that as a team we are really focusing in on the little things that we want to do to set ourselves up and improve our races. I think that if we're going after our season's best times and we are getting those, then we are setting ourselves up really well.'

LAST WEEK: WSU comes into the meet against OSU with a 3-2 record in dual meets (0-1 in Pac-10 competition)...Washington State did not compete last week...the Cougars last competed Saturday, January 18, falling to Nevada in a dual meet, 133-124...the Cougars fell to the Wolf Pack Friday in a relay meet, 112-92.

COACH QUAM: Erica Quam has a dual meet record of 3-2 with the WSU women's swim team in her first year as head coach...Quam spent the past five years as an assistant at Southern Methodist University.

NEXT WEEK: Washington State returns to Pullman for their final home meet of the season, the Cougar Invitational, February 8...the meet will begin at 11 a.m. at Gibb Pool.
