Alumni Game Set For Saturday At Dedeaux Field

LOS ANGELES - The USC baseball team will play its Alumni Game on Saturday (Feb. 1) at 1 p.m. at Dedeaux Field. Admission is free for all fans.

Former Trojan players scheduled to appear include current major leaguers Aaron Boone (Cincinnati Reds), Jason Lane (Houston Astros), Chad Moeller (Arizona Diamondbacks), Eric Munson (Detroit Tigers), Seth Etherton (Cincinnati Reds) and Randy Flores (Colorado Rockies). Other members of the alumni team include: Alberto Concepcion, Rik Currier, Beau Craig, Ron Flores, Josh Persell, Bill Peavey, Justin Gemoll, Jason Brown, Tanner Eriksen and Ryan Stromsborg.

Saturday will mark the first time that the public can view the new USC Baseball Hall of Fame, part of the $4 million Dedeaux Field renovation project. The Hall of Fame features all 12 USC national championship trophies as well as jerseys from some of the 89 former Trojans who have played in the major leagues.

The Trojans, ranked as high as No. 3 in preseason polls, finished last season with a 37-24 overall record and won their second consecutive Pac-10 Conference championship with a 17-7 mark. Troy will open the regular season on Tuesday (Feb. 4) at UC Santa Barbara at 2 p.m. All games will be broadcast live on
