Cal Tied For 10th After First Day At Grumman Northrop Challenge

Palos Verdes - The Cal Women golfers look to play catch up on Tuesday and Wednesday. They currently trail overall leader Pepperdine by a cumulative score of 24 strokes with a first round score of 308. Junior Sarah Huarte had the lowest score for the Bears firing a four-over round of 75. On her heels is another Junior Anna Temple with a round of 77. Both Seniors Vikki Laing and Ria Quiazon shot 78 and Senior Amber Reilly shot 80 as the Bears fall into a tie with host Ohio State.

Pepperdine is currently leading the pack with an even cumulative score of 284 and UCLA is second with 292. Rounding out the field are Oklahoma State(294), USC(296), and Oklahoma(300).
