Cougar Tennis Travels To Boise.

THIS WEEK: The Washington State women's tennis team (3-1) will head to Boise for two dual matches. The Cougars, ranked 40th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's rankings, will face No. 57 Boise State Saturday and No. 64 New Mexico Sunday.

THE SERIES: Washington State has won seven of 11 matches against Boise State. The Cougars have won two of eight matches against New Mexico.

HOT COUGS: Washington State has won three matches in a row. The Cougars have defeated Penn State (2/1), Hawaii (2/7) and Long Beach State (2/8).

TOUGH SCHEDULE: WSU has 16 more matches scheduled this season, and all but one (San Diego- 3/9) will be against teams ranked in the ITA's National Rankings.

COUGARS IN THE RANKINGS: The Cougars are anchored by junior Lorena Arias, ranked No. 77 by the ITA. Arias joins with doubles teammate Chris Martinez to form the No. 45 doubles team in the nation.

NEXT WEEK: The Cougars next competition will be a road match at No. 40 Oregon (Sunday Feb. 23). The match will start at 11:00 a.m. in Eugene.
