Final Day Of Northrop Grunman Regional Challenge Cancelled Due To Heavy Rain; Women Of Troy Finish Second

Palos Verdes, Calif. - The No. 9 USC women's golf team finished in second place as the final round of the Northrop Grunman Regional Challenge, held at the Palos Verdes Golf Club, was canceled due to heavy rain.
USC shot a 36-hole total of 603, just five strokes behind team champion Pepperdine (598). Arizona was third (606), Oklahoma State was fourth (607) and UCLA was fifth (608).
Freshman Irene Cho picked up her first top five finish, as she and Becky Lucidi each shot 149 to finish just five strokes behind individual champion Katherine Hull of Pepperdine (144). Erica Blasberg of Arizona tied for second with Charlotte Mayorkas of UCLA (both at 145). Lindsey Wright of Pepperdine was fourth at 146.
Also for the Women of Troy, junior Rachel Bell--playing as an individual--and All-American senior Mikaela Parmlid tied for 17th (153), while junior Anna Rawson tied for 35th (157), and freshman Tanya Dergal tied for 42nd (158).
The Women of Troy are next in action at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 24-26.
