Southern California Rains Wreak Havoc on UO Softball Schedule

Feb. 13, 2003

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Oregon softball team will play one less game than anticipated this weekend. Days of heavy rains in Southern California that flooded SDSU Field have caused the organizers of Campbell/Cartier Classic to shorten the tournament to five games, instead of six.

The new schedule for the tournament has Oregon opening against UC Santa Barbara Friday at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the Ducks will play Cal State Northridge at 10 a.m. and No. 4 Michigan at 8 p.m. Sunday, Oregon concludes the tournament by facing host San Diego State at 11:30 a.m. The Ducks' game versus No. 15 Fresno State that was scheduled for Saturday night has been cancelled.
