Tennis Earns Fifth Straight Victory

BOISE, Idaho -- The Washington State tennis team notched its fifth straight victory with a 5-2 win at Boise State, Sunday.

The win by the No. 43 Cougars snapped the Broncos' 32-match home win streak.

The Cougars lost the doubles point, but stormed back to win five of six singles match to earn the win. Highlighting singles play was Orsi Sallai who earned a 7-6, 5-7, 10-8 win over No. 73 Renate Stoop at the No. 1 position.

Lorena Arias and Chris Martinez each posted straight set victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Newcomer Annabelle Stefanchuk and Zorana Roganovic each gutted out three set wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively. Both Stefanchuk and Roganovic dropped the first set before rallying.

The Cougars play at Oregon, Sunday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m.
