Hollye Chapman Earns Verizon Academic All-District VIII Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State junior forward Hollye Chapman earned third team Verizon Academic All-District VIII honors on Thursday. Chapman, who holds a 3.58 grade point average as Visual Arts major, was one of 15 student-athletes recognized for their work on the court and in the classroom.

Chapman currently leads the Beavers in scoring with 12.4 points per game and shoots a team-high 51-percent from the field.

In order to be eligible for Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), must be a starter or significant reserve and be in at least their second season of athletic and academic eligibility at their current school. District VIII includes the states of California, Hawaii, Alaska, British Columbia, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and Utah.
