LOS ANGELES - Billy Susdorf's three-homer started a five-run first inning Friday and the UCLA Bruins defeated the No. 18 USC Trojans, 7-4, in non-conference action at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The win snapped the Bruins' streak of 11 straight losses to the Trojans, dating back to the 2001 season.

The Trojans scored in the first when third baseman Michael Moon scored on a balk called against Kunes.
The Bruins countered with back-to-back singles by Preston Griffin and Brett McMillan, followed by a Susdorf's fourth home run of the season to left center. With runners at first and second with two outs, third baseman Brandon Averill doubled to left center, scoring catcher Chris Denove and shortstop Ryan McCarthy.
Jon Brewster led off the second for the Trojans and scored after Kunes threw back-to-back wild pitches. Joey Metropoulos hit his third homer of the season with a solo shot to left center in the Trojans' half of the third.
With the bases loaded in the fifth, Bannister was called for a balk, plating UCLA first baseman Wes Whisler for a 6-3 lead for the Bruins.
USC had the bases loaded with one out in the sixth, but reliever Bryan Beck struck out David Gordon and Moon to end the threat. Moon was ejected from the game following his at-bat in the sixth and USC head coach Mike Gillespie was also tossed in the bottom of the seventh.
Travis McAndrews went 2-for-4 for the Trojans, pushing his team-high hitting streak to 12 games.
