Men's Tennis Just Barely Fall to No. 5 Cal
March 7, 2003
Tempe, AZ- The Arizona State Men's Tennis Team played an excellent match Friday afternoon versus the 5th-ranked University of California.
The match came down to the wire with the Devils falling just shy to the Golden Bears, 4-3.
The 4-5 Sun Devils look to bounce back for their match versus the No. 6 Stanford Cardinal on Saturday afternoon.
The match is set to begin at 12p.m. at ASU's Whiteman Tennis Center.
In doubles play, the Sun Devils were flawless winning all three matches.
In singles action, the Devils fell just one match shy of victory, but they played well throughout the entire match.
Both the Letchers were just as successful in singles as they were in doubles.
Both played excellent, pushing their opponents into 3 sets apiece, but in the end Cal just scarcely ran away with the win.
