Mike Montgomery Quotes Regarding the NCAA Tournament
'We are pleased with the #4 seed and being in the Western pod. I think we earned what we got. The (NCAA) Committee considered us a Top 16 seed. Wins over Xavier, Gonzaga, Arizona on the road (Florida in the Pre-Season NIT) were important. Our overall schedule was good, and our RPI has been high. I believe we were rewarded for that. Now we have to get a tournament-mind set. We are fresh mentally, and we have no injuries to speak of. The kids are excited. Brad Holland (San Diego head coach) is a great coach, and we'll be playing a team that plays physical man-to-man defense. Jason Keep is a legitimate big man who can play at the next level. Their four starting seniors give them great leadership.'
