Sara McGee Named Second-Team Pac-10 All-Academic

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Stanford redshirt sophomore center Sara McGee (Davis, CA) has been named Second-Team Pac-10 All-Academic, as announced by Commissioner Tom Hansen.

McGee, who is a Human Biology Major with a 3.70 cumulative grade point average, appeared in 15 games off the bench after joining the team after the women's volleyball season. McGee, who was a First-Team All-American and First-Team Pac-10 All-Academic selection in volleyball in 2002, averaged 0.7 points and 1.9 rebounds for Tara VanDerveer's squad.

In addition, Stanford redshirt sophomore Susan King (Richfield, MN), sophomore Azella Perryman (Anchorage, AK) and redshirt sophomore Chelsea Trotter (San Dimas, CA) were named Honorable Mention Pac-10 All-Academic.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and either be a starter or significant contributor.
