This Week -- The No. 23 USC men's tennis team (12-8, 1-2 Pac-10) resumes Pac-10 play this week as it preps for No. 15 Washington (14-4, 0-4 Pac-10) and No. 61 Oregon (8-9, 0-4 Pac-10) in two conference-counting matches. The Trojans face the Huskies on Friday, April 11, at 1:30 p.m., then welcome the Ducks on Saturday, April 12, at noon. Both matches will be played at Marks Tennis Stadium. USC is coming off a 4-3 victory over San Diego, a 7-0 loss at Stanford and 5-2 loss to Cal last week.

* This week's matches against Washington and Oregon will count against conference records. Only the second of two meetings against Pac-10 teams during the season (except Washington and Oregon, which USC faces only once) count against Pac-10 records.

ITA Ranking Updates -- The Trojans dropped one spot to No. 23 in the latest ITA poll released on April 7. In the individual singles rankings, Prakash Amritraj is ranked 53rd and Johan Berg is ranked No. 115. Amritraj and Daniel Langre jumped five spots and are ranked No. 12 in doubles. Singles and doubles rankings will be updated on April 21.

Injuries Mount -- On April 5, USC faced California with only three starters left in its lineup. The injuries this season have depleted the Trojans' lineup, including Brian Wright who has missed the entire year with knee injuries. Ruben Torres, Jeff Kazarian and Parker Collins did not play at Cal.

USC vs. Washington -- The Trojans are 17-0 against Washington, having never lost to the Huskies in the 40-year history of the series. Last season, the Trojans defeated Washington 5-2 in Seattle.

USC vs. Oregon -- USC is 8-0 all-time against Oregon. The series began in 1972 but the two teams have only consistently faced each other for the last six seasons. Last year, the Trojans defeated the Ducks 4-3 in Eugene.

Smith and Park To Be Featured At Charity Event -- Head coach Peter Smith and Trojan alum Andrew Park, who played No. 1 singles for last year's NCAA Championship team and is currently a medical student at USC, will give a Pro-Am exhibition at the USC Salerni Collegium Charity Tennis Tournament on Monday, June 9, at the Los Angeles Tennis Club in Hancock Park from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. More information is posted on
