Andre Patterson Dismissed From School

UCLA sophomore forward Andre Patterson has been dismissed from school for academic reasons, it was announced today.

Patterson, a 6-7, 200-pounder from Washington Prep in Los Angeles, in 2002-03 played in 24 games (21 starts, including the final 12 games) after re-enrolling at UCLA for the Winter Quarter. He averaged 23.1 minutes, 7.5 points and a team-high 5.5 rebounds and led the Pacific-10 Conference in field goal percentage (60.8).

As a true freshman in 2001-02, Patterson appeared in 29 games, averaging 9.2 minutes, 2.3 points and 2.1 rebounds a game.

Due to Federal and State student privacy laws, UCLA will not make further comment regarding Patterson's academics.
