Rain Pushes UW-OSU Softball Finale Back to Monday

April 14, 2003

CORVALLIS, Ore. - A driving storm of hail mixed with rain postponed third-ranked Washington's game with Oregon State on Sunday, which was to be the last of a two-game series. The game will be made up Monday, Apr. 14 at 1 p.m. at OSU Softball Complex in Corvallis.

The rainout is the third for Washington on its current five-game trip to the Willamette Valley, including a scheduled doubleheader on Thursday with Portland State that was not rescheduled.

The Huskies needed just five innings to defeat No. 21 Oregon, 9-0, on Friday, and took the first game of the two-game series from the Beavers on Saturday, winning 3-1.
