Eleven Golden Bears Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Honors

Nine swimmers and two divers from the University of California's women's swimming and diving team earned Pac-10 All-Academic recognition for the 2002-03 season. To be eligible for the selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant substitute.

Senior Staciana Stitts was a first-team all-academic pick, while junior Natalie Coughlin and sophomore Marcelle Miller were named to the second-team. Honorable mention all-academic honors went to sophomore Keiko Amano, junior Danielle Becks, sophomore diver Alyson Borawski, senior diver Christina Flynn, junior Natalie Griffith, senior Michelle Harper and sophomore Lisa Morelli.

This marks the third time Stitts and Flynn have received the conference all-academic honors, while it is Coughlin, Becks and Griffith's second such honor.
