Six Cardinal Gymnasts Named To Pac-10 All-Academic Teams

Walnut Creek, Calif. - The Stanford women's gymnasts team placed six gymnasts on the Pac-10 Conference All-Academic Teams announced today. Juniors Shelly Goldberg (Mequon, WI) was named to the first team, while Caroline Fluhrer (Seattle, WA) and Lise Lï¿½veillï¿½ (Burnaby, BC) were selected to the second team.
Goldberg, a 3.96 gpa in mechanical engineering, competes on vault and floor for Stanford and earned first team honors last season as a sophomore. Fluhrer earned second team accolades last year and now holds a 3.65 gpa in civil engineering, while Lï¿½veillï¿½ received her first honor.
To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter of significant substitute.
