Giles Wins Women's 400m Dash at Mt. SAC

WALNUT, Calif. -- Tiffany Giles, a senior at Washington State University, won the women's University/Open 400m Dash Friday night at the Mt. SAC Relays at Walnut, Calif.

Giles, from Seattle, Wash., won the event with a season-best and NCAA Regional Qualifying time of 54.07 seconds. Giles handily won the fifth and final heat of the 400m. The second-fastest time among the 29 women racing was 54.13, run by Keia Watkins, of Rice University, in the third heat.

Action wraps up Saturday for select Cougar athletes competing at the Mt. SAC Relays while the rest of the team is competing in the State Challenge Cup Meet at Boise, Idaho.
