<b>Ducks Shoot Even Par At U.S. Invitational</b>

STANFORD, Calif. - The Oregon men's golf team is 6th after the first two rounds of the U.S. Invitational, hosted by the Stanford Cardinal. The Ducks shot 274 in the first round and 294 in the second, for a combined score of 568 after day one at the Stanford Golf Course, a par-71, 6,786-yard layout.
Oregon senior John Ellis leads the Ducks, currently in a tie for 8th place after tying season low 67 in round one. Senior Chris Carnahan is one stroke behind Ellis with a combined score of 140, currently in 10th. Junior Jimmy White ties career low 70 in round two and is currently tied for 24th with a combined score of 144. Freshman Gregg LaVoie ties career low 68 in round one of play, tied at 30th with a total of 145.
UCLA is at the top with a team score of 556. San Diego State is nine strokes behind at 565. Individually, Roy Moon, from UCLA, shot 11 strokes under par (65-66-131) to lead by only two strokes over Jeff Coburn of UC-Irvine and Mark Warman of San Diego State who carded a 133 for the day.
The tournament concludes with the final round on Sunday morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
