Boulder - Anna Nedovic, a forward from Ballerup, Denmark has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at the University of Colorado, Head Coach Ceal Barry announced Friday. Nedovic, a senior, will have four years of eligibility at CU, and joins Emily Waner (Highlands Ranch) and Leslie Howard (Salem, Mo.) in the Class of 2003.

Nedovic, a 6-4 forward out of Ballerup, Denmark, outside Copenhagen played her club basketball for BF Copenhagen. She was named the Danish Player of the Year in 2002 in the Elite Division after leading her team to the Danish Championship during her first season in the senior league. They repeated as Danish Champions in 2003 under coach Claus Stroh and won the Cup Championship this year as well, encompassing all divisions of Danish basketball, losing only one game. Nedovic was a member of the Danish Junior National Team in 2001.
Off The Court: Anda Anna Nedovic was born August 4, 1983 in Herlev, Copenhagen. She was born and raised in Denmark, but her family is originally from Yugoslavia, where she spends her summers. She is the daughter of Velimir and Nevenka Nedovic, and has two sisters, Natasa (30) and Milica (28). Both of her sisters played basketball in Denmark and were on the junior and senior national teams. She hopes to major in International Business at Colorado and is also interested in Spanish.
Barry on Nedovic: "Anna gives us the size and the offensive skills we need to play the forward position in the triangle offense. We hope to use her at the center as well. We are very excited about the addition of Anna to our program."
