Women's Golf Takes Fourth At Pac-10 Championships

Corvallis, Ore. - Senior All-American Mikaela Parmlid shot one-over-par over 54 holes to finish second on the leaderboard as the No. 4 USC women's golf team took fourth at the 2003 Pac-10 Championships held at Trysting Tree Country Club.

The Women of Troy shot 39-over-par 903 to finish 11 strokes behind tournament champion California (892). Arizona was second (897), followed by UCLA (902). Arizona State finished fifth (915).

Parmlid followed rounds of 70 and 73 with a final-round 74 to finish with a total of 217, one stroke behind individual champ Vikki Laing of California (216). Erica Blasberg of Arizona was third (219), followed by Blair O'Neal of ASU (220) and Sarah Huarte of California and Hana Kim of UCLA (221).

Senior Becky Lucidi was the second Trojan in the top 10 as she tied for 10th with a score of 225. Also for USC, junior Anna Rawson tied for 33rd (235) and Tanya Dergal tied for 36th (236).

Freshman Irene Cho's score was disqualified.

The Women of Troy are next in action at the NCAA West Regionals in Tempe, Ariz. on May 8-10.
