Beavers Add Tuesday Home Game
May 5, 2003
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State has added a game to its baseball schedule this week. The Beavers will host Concordia on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field in a non-league contest. Admission will be free, and the game will not be broadcast on KEJO-AM (1240).
OSU (19-24 overall, 5-13 Pacific-10) had room to add a game to its schedule because of two rained-out games against Portland earlier this season. One of those games, plus the completion of another game suspended due to rain, will be played in Corvallis on a date to be announced.
Concordia (20-26, 9-9 Cascade Collegiate) is playing a doubleheader against Oregon Tech in Roseburg on Monday before visiting OSU. A win would clinch an NAIA regional playoff berth for the Cavaliers; a sweep would keep alive their chances for a conference championship.
OSU returns to Pac-10 play with its final home series of the conference season against third-ranked Arizona State. Due to ASU's final exams schedule, the Beavers and Sun Devils will play a Monday-through-Wednesday series with games May 12 at 5 p.m., May 13 at 5 p.m. and May 14 at 4 p.m. Those games will be broadcast on KEJO-AM (1240).
