Former UW Basketball Players On Humanitarian Mission In Guatemala

SEATTLE, Wash. -Four former Washington women's basketball players Cheryl Sorenson, Sarah Duncan, Jill (Pimley) Marlow and Megan Franza are in Guatemal City, Guatemala for an eight-day humanitarian mission which includes administering free camps to both men's and women's basketball teams, as well as to the Guatemalan youth.

The former Huskies will also train and play some games against the Guatemala National team to help prepare them for an international tournament. The UW players are also bringing t-shirts, shoes and assorted items to give to the local youth attending the camps.

The women arrived in Guatemal City on Thursday, May 8 and will remain there until Friday, May 16. Also joining the group on the trip is 2002 Stanford graduate Enjoli Izidor.
