Jackie Coburn Named USA Softball National Player of the Week

Sophomore catcher Jackie Coburn has been named USA Softball National Player of the Week for May 5 - May 11. Coburn has also been named Pac-10 Player of the Week.
Over the weekend, Coburn posted a .471 batting average with five hits, three home runs and 14 RBI. In the second game of the doubleheader against No. 8 Washington on Saturday, Coburn was 4-for-6 with two home runs and 11 RBI. The 11 RBI ties the NCAA record for RBI in a single game.
On the season, Coburn has a .261 batting average with 38 runs, 43 hits, 15 home runs and 54 RBI.
This is the first Pac-10 weekly award for Coburn this season and the 82nd all-time award for Arizona. This is also the first weekly National award for Coburn. The Cats are home this weekend, hosting the NCAA Regionals from May 15-18.
