Softball Headed To Fullerton, Calif., For NCAA Regionals

NCAA REGIONALS - FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA
Oregon (32-17 overall, 10-11 Pacific-10 conference) is the No. 3 seed at the Fullerton, Calif., regional site. The Ducks square off against Penn State (30-21, 9-9 Big Ten) Thursday, May 15 at 2 p.m.
A SEASON TO REMEMBER
Oregon capped an amazing season with a 9-1 victory over defending national champion California and a 7-0 win over Stanford to finish tied for third in the Pac-10. It is Oregon's highest finish since placing third in the six-team conference in 1990. The Ducks have never finished higher than fourth since the Pac-10 expanded to eight teams in 1995. Oregon returns to postseason play for the first time since 2000.
The team will be staying at the Chase Suites (714-579-7400) in Fullerton, Calif.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK
Oregon was 2-1 last weekend with a win over California and Stanford. The Ducks dropped the second game of a doubleheader to the Cardinal. Junior pitcher Anissa Meashintubby picked up her second career conference win vs. California while the Ducks had 11 hits in the game, including a home run by Andrea Vidlund and Lynsey Haij. In the Ducks' 7-0 win over Stanford, four Oregon players had a home run.
