TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona remains in a tie for 11th place Wednesday following the second round of the 2003 NCAA Women's Golf Championships in West Lafayette, Ind.

Battling a difficult course and challenging weather conditions, the Wildcats carded a 26-over-par 314 and stands in 11th place at the midway point of the 72-hole tournament with a 632 (+56) total. No team in the field of 24 has been within 10 strokes of par through the first 36 holes.

Individually, Laura Myerscough leads the Wildcats with a two-round total of 155 (+11) and stands in a five-way tie for 24th place. The senior from Charleston, Ill., equaled the low round of the day Wednesday, as she was one of just three players in the field of 125 to shoot an even-par 72, and one of only four to equal par in either of the first two rounds. Oklahoma State's Annie Thurman leads the field with a three-over 147 total.

Two other Wildcats rank in the top half of the field, as senior Anne Lee and freshman Erica Blasberg are tied for 39th and 61st places, respectively.
