Scott Lipsky/David Martin Advance To NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals

Athens, Ga. - Stanford seniors Scott Lipsky (Merrick, NY) and David Martin (Tulsa, OK) trumped Georgia's Nicholas Boeker and Bo Hodge in the second round of the NCAA Doubles Championship on Friday afternoon at the University of Georgia.

The fourth-seeded Lipsky/Martin duo posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over the Bulldogs pair today to advance to the NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals. The Cardinal will face Pepperdine tandem Diego Acuna and Calle Hansen in the Round of 8. Competition is set to begin tomorrow at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

In the NCAA Singles Championship on Friday, Cardinal freshman KC Corkery (Manhattan Beach, CA) dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 third round decision to second-seeded and second-ranked Benedikt Dorsch of Baylor.

The 49th-ranked Corkery, who finishes the season with a 31-5 singles mark, entered the day with a 23-match singles winning streak. Corkery, who upset No. 9-16 seed Jesse Witten of Kentucky on Thursday, earned All-America honors for advancing to the third round.
