Ducks Announce Initial Wave of Football TV Appearances for 2003 Season

EUGENE - Four national television appearances and an ABC Sports audience for Oregon's Sept. 20 home game vs. Michigan highlight the Ducks' 2003 early-season football TV schedule according to the school's Director of Athletics Bill Moos.
The television selections are part of the Pacific-10 Conference's agreements with ABC, Fox Sports Net and Turner Sports (TBS), and represent the Ducks' portion of the networks' preliminary picks involving Pac-10 schools. An additional number of Oregon games are expected to be added to the TV slate once the season gets underway, with the networks retaining the rights to add to its TV selections up to six days before a game's scheduled kickoff.
Four of the Ducks' first six games for the coming season already have been assured of TV exposure over the airwaves as well as four of Oregon's six contests on the road.
Highlighting the selections are 7 p.m. national telecasts on TBS at Arizona Sept. 13 and at Washington Nov. 1, in addition to non-conference road games on ESPN2 Aug. 30 at Mississippi State (6 p.m. PDT) and Friday, Oct. 3, at Utah (7 p.m. PDT).
Nine of Oregon's 12 regular-season football games were televised live a year ago.
