Stanford Men's And Women's Senior Nationals Diving Championships Recap

Indianapolis, Ind. - A seventh-place finish in the one-meter competition by Stanford men's diver Adam Peterson highlighted performances by current Stanford divers at the recent Speedo National Diving Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium (June 24-29). Peterson scored 324.94 points in one of two men's semifinals competitions to miss qualifying for the six-diver one-meter final by just one spot. Peterson scored 290.97 points to place eighth in the quarterfinals and earn a spot in the semifinals. There were a total of 28 divers in the one-meter competition.
Current Stanford women's divers Sara Bowling and Ashlee Rosenthal, as well as former Stanford All-American women's diver Erin Sones also competed at the event. Sones finished fifth in the women's platform competition with 423.42 points after qualifying seventh in the semis (403.38). Bowling placed 19th in the platform, just missing the semifinal cut with 196.32 points. Rosenthal did not make the final cut in the three-meter, taking 18th place with 399.15 points.
