Women's Basketball Announces 2003-04 Schedule

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University announced its 2003-04 women's basketball schedule on Thursday. The Beavers will play 27 games leading up to the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament (Mar. 5-8), including 14 regular season games and two exhibition contests in the friendly confines of Gill Coliseum.
OSU opens action on Nov. 7 with an exhibition game against Basketball Travelers. The Beavers begin the regular season campaign at home against Utah Valley State on Nov. 21.
Other non-conference opponents that fill the home slate include: 2003 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Utah and Southwest Missouri State, as well as Texas A&M Corpus Christi and San Jose State.
A trip to the Loyola Marymount Tournament and meeting against NCAA power Arkansas highlights the road schedule, along with games at Tulane University and Portland State.
The Beavers finished the 2002-03 season with a 15-15 overall record, including a 13-1 mark in games played at Gill Coliseum. Oregon State made its third consecutive trip to the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
OSU returns nine players and five starters from last year's squad.
